Lusala, adopted by an affluent Nairobi family a decade ago is imposed on to leave home and start on his own. Eager and willing at first, he makes the most of his life, until the demons from his past return, and he faces them on his own.
The Sin of Being a Woman is the story of an indomitable woman who fought a relentless and uphill battle against prejudice, convention and authority at a difficult time in a difficult part of the world.
This is a charming little movie for kids. There are plenty of things to criticize, but the movie has heart, and that makes up for a lot of sins. It won the best childish film at our annual film festival (MSPIFF) as judged by the official jury of kids, and I think they judged well.
