A young girl of 13 lives with her mother on an isolated property. They are awaiting the return of their father and husband. But instead, another man appears, transforming the relationship between the mother and daughter. Based on two short stories by Brazilian poet Hilda Hilst and filmed in an unusual screen ratio that reinforces the otherworldly dimension, the film was selected for the 2018 Berlinale.
I was pretty curious to watch this movie, mainly because of the awesome photograph presents on the trailer.
It is a movie with potential, but I watched a movie of 122 minutes that could be made as a short movie of 30 minutes. Along the film, we can see wonderful screens, but a lot of it, really long screens what make it boring, so what could let the history more dramatic, ends up with it longer than it could be, what breaks the drama.
