Episode 1.4
5 August 2018 | by Prismark10See all my reviews

Episode 4 delves into the world of interracial relationships in 1980s Britain.

Walter's goddaughter Cynthia arrives in a panic. Her father Uncle Akie wants nothing to with her engagement party as he disapproves of her fiance and his Scottish family. Walter and Agnes have to step in as her family elders.

The engagement party contains many West African traditions but Cynthia's fiance's family find it all rather awkward.

Valentine is the DJ for the engagement party but finds instant attraction with a woman attending the party with an early version of a mobile phone which somehow fits into her handbag.

Another gentle episode, not much humour but it does catch the awkwardness of cross cultural traditions.
