I liked the first 2 seasons but this feels full of unnecessary hatred in a forced and direct way. Seems that the writers went for this as a premise for killing over any real motivation. Bad, very bad.
I loved the first 2 seasons. But, I had to force myself to finish season 3. This season complete fails at having a natural character development. While it did have a diversity it felt forced. It did not add any value to the story because over how over played the acting is. If this is the new direction of the show I will not be watching another season.
I loved Slasher season one, season two was great and I've been excited to see season three. That excitement was ruined halfway through the first episode.
The writing quality of the previous seasons is completely gone and has been replaced with completely irrelevant, distracting and superficial virtue signaling. I'm all for diversity but there needs to be some substance behind it. You can't just check a bunch of incidental demographic boxes in casting for "representation" and expect it to carry a series.
As an example, the main character is Muslim. That's great. Fine. Who cares, right? The problem comes in where political pandering is shoehorned in when it's completely irrelevant to the storyline. In the first episode after a character is killed, the Muslim girl is attacked by another character, pulling her hijab off and screaming about how "her people" must be responsible. It's completely unrealistic, distracting and immediately shows the writer's focus more on political virtue signaling rather than creating a quality storyline and characters with depth.
This is just one example of many. I realize that this is the trend now so I accept a certain level of it when watching something but after a dozen or so times of the writers beating the viewer over the head with this nonsense, I finally had to turn it off and abandon the series.
It actually led me to finally cancelling Netflix all together. I've been a customer since the DVD only days, but I'm really tired of paying for something only to have quality shows that I previously enjoyed, ruined by this nonsense. I just want to be entertained. Irrelevant political pandering, pretentious morality lectures and superficial virtue signaling are not entertaining, I couldn't care less what "side" it's coming from.

This episode started out mildly interesting. Characters are diverse in background and sexuality. Great. But it felt forced and not contributing to the story. Honestly, this is the 3rd series created by Netflix that I will not bother finishing. Netflix is so hell-bent on shoving political commentary down our throats that I can't just enjoy my show. The politics need to serve a purpose to the storyline, not just be crammed in to check the boxes of diversification and political commentary. That aside, the first season of Slasher was the best. The 2nd was okay, but this one is not worth your time. The kills are uninspired, sex is just ridiculously shoved in your face, none of the characters are worth caring about and the plot is filled with very unrealistic chains of events. Overall, don't waste 8 hours on this. Better yet, don't waste any more energy than you already have on this season. Get out while you still can!
As someone who really enjoyed the first two seasons of Slasher, I was very disapppointed in this. Everything is played to the nth melodromatic extreme. The acting is overdone. The stereotypes are WAY overdrawn and overemphasaized. I realize racism is more rampant in cities, but this seems way over the top. They've also chosen to trade plot and good story for the grossout. Sad to see.
I normally go point by point when I rate something low so people understand why. But this isn't really worth my time. Or yours.
