Described by Jim Jefferies as "F@#!%ing Hilarious" and by Bill Burr as "One of my favorites to watch," this former marine biologist-turned-comedian is an expert at pointing out the shortcomings of our species. Forrest intimately delivers his sharp critique of mankind as he and his hometown of Miami brave the hurricane happening outside. Another one of Forrest's Poor Decisions.
In this pandemic period I have a lot of time to discover new stand-up comedians, or at least new to me, and Forrest Shaw is one of them. Never heard of him, or never saw one of his shows before, so this was a first, and it was a pleasant surprise. The venue where he performed looks little, some kind of nightclub I guess, he deserves a bigger audience, i guess you have to start somewhere. He has a quite static stage presence, does not have it from mimicing or gesturing, so maybe that can be improved. But that's not necessarily a bad thing as long as his jokes work. In my case they did work, I wasn't rolling over from laughter but I was entertained during his whole set and that's good enough for me. He has good material so I'm curious about his next show.
