Michael having convinced the Judge to do so, Eleanor, Chidi, Tahani and Jason are all back on Earth having been given a second chance to prove that they are good people, they placed in exactly the moment before their accidental deaths. Michael's first task is to make sure they don't befall the same death they did the first time. Michael doesn't tell the Judge what's going on as he and Janet monitor the four humans' individual progress as the four have each fallen into somewhat the same routine that got them into the Bad Place the first time around despite they making initial changes in their behaviors and attitudes immediately after their respective near death experience.
