Moriko Morioka is a 30-year-old single NEET woman. After dropping out from reality, she has taken off in search for a fulfilling life and ended up in a net game or "netoge." Meanwhile, in the real world, awaits a shocking encounter with a good-looking elite company employee, a mysterious blue-eyed blonde.
More a rom-com vibe than anything, but still fun....
This was a fun and pretty silly show, but one that I enjoyed.
If you hate romantic comedies, than you probably will not like this show, as that is kind of the focus of the 10 episode season. It was fun for me, personally, to follow a 30 year old female protagonist. She was a unique and interesting character to watch develop, and her problems felt authentic. Go Morimori!
I was a bit disappointed in the game universe. Although the MMO, Fruits de Mer, was a big part of the show, it wasn't a really developed game. It seemed somewhat like WoW I guess, but the mechanics were not really explored much. Instead, it was more a backdrop for social dynamics.
All in all, it was a fun anime to watch, and I'd recommend it to someone wanting to watch something less serious and feel-good. 8/10
