Heartwarming tale that ticks all the boxes
This is a formulaic Hallmark style TV movie, but if you're gonna make a seasonal movie then you may as well do it well. It looks great and will appeal to most people's festive feelings, and knocks many of the bigger sickly-sweet features out of the park. The story dried up like a box of Eat Me dates at the end of the second act, but the big reveal and the predictable ending was worth waiting for. Damn it! I didn't think it would get me...but it did. Autumn Reeser and David Haydn-Jones deliver a nice Christmas treat for the family.
