Did You Know?

Kevin's best description of the Bad Goddess series is: "Every Episode Scenario is Kosuke Fujishima's Worst Nightmare Come True on a Balancing Act of Laughs and Cathartic Tears". Ah My Goddess is the work of an Optimist indulging in Romantic Sentimentality. By contrast, Bad Goddess/Marller Gets a Spinoff is that same universe re-assessed through the eyes of a Fatalist who is caught in an inner religious conflict for his very soul. While it never occurred to him during the making of this series, one of Kevin's favorite childhood movies was Terry Gilliam's dystopian nightmare comedy "Brazil", which may have been a subconscious influence on the Bad Goddess series. In The Keys of Marinus Serial, Otaki has a line of dialogue where he asks why Tamiya isn't coming on their quest with him. The title cards accidentally got switched around and partially deleted during that moment. Once again, Kevin left his mistake alone for comedic purposes. See more »

Urd: Where have you been these past few months?
Marller: I've been volunteering on the Donald Trump campaign. Yay! Electoral College! Why?
Urd: Say Marller... You've been to the seventh circle of hell. What's the fastest way to Detroit, Michigan?
Marller: Have you tried killing yourself?
Urd: No, seriously.
Marller: The alternative is flying god knows how many hours in coach, and possible borderline sexual assault frisking through airport security.
Urd: How were we planning on killing ourselves again?
Marller: What's in Detroit, Michigan?
Urd: Youmacon ...

Crazy Credits

"It is definitely NOT for children. If you are a parent and you let your kids watch this... shame on you." The show features Foul Language and Adult Subject Matter that would earn it a Hard R-Rating. There is NO Nudity featured on the show out of fear that Kevin's daughter might have ended up watching it if he did. The only episode that features nudity is Marller Gets a Spinoff: Before the Firefight because of "The Major" character from Ghost in the Shell. See more »

Alternate Versions

There are many noticeable differences between the Original Fan Fiction series and the Anime Video Comic Adaptations as Kevin wanted to improvise some new dialogue to give the audience something new to watch. Most of the action scenes were either skipped over or re-written. Almost all of the material from the original fan fiction made it into the Video Comic version in some form or another, but some of the material gets moved around and incorporated or referenced into other episodes. Kevin tried to be as faithful to his series as possible, but due to the animation style, changes were inevitable, giving him a new perspective on fans who complain when an anime series is not canon to the original stories. Feast your eyes

This manga madness just needs to be seen , read and devoured.. Kevin from the other dimension has pushed boundaries and more.. He has created a new genre of anime, self aware and yet so innocent too. The characters breathe and seem so alive , the writing is the key for me.. all I can say now is that I hope for more in this series , and please just check it out if you have an inkling, tickle or hunch
