- Sarah McKinney, an interior designer at an upscale Manhattan hotel, decides to return to her Rock Creek, Colorado home, the McKinney Ranch, for Christmas, important this year partly to get away from the media spotlight following the very public break-up with her tech giant boyfriend, Eric Gold, who left her for an actress, and partly to spend time with her Uncle Roy McKinney following the death of Roy's wife, Sarah and her brother Cody McKinney's Aunt Beth, Roy and Beth who raised the pair in the absence of the their own parents. Under the circumstance of Aunt Beth, Cody has stayed at the ranch forgoing his own dreams of going to Hollywood to get into stunt work specifically dealing with horses. Sarah and Cody eventually learn that Uncle Roy is thinking about selling the ranch, their home, meaning this could be their last Christmas together there. Graham ends up not only surprising Sarah in taking his Rock Creek commitments seriously, but the two start to fall for each other. While Graham eventually opens up to her about his own antipathy for Christmas leading to why he is all right with having a working Christmas with total strangers, Sarah has to see if she can overcome her own negative feelings of being romantically involved with yet another celebrity, it which may be even more difficult when Nicole Collins arrives on scene, she Graham's costar in the upcoming movie project and if the rags are to be believed Graham's current girlfriend.—Huggo
