Tom has ordered missile strikes on Kunami in retaliation for the dirty bomb the Kunami government detonated in the Washington DC metro station, and against Lyor's advice Tom has no qualms about calling it a declaration of war. The strikes will continue until the Emir of Kunami unconditionally surrenders, which includes an admission that he was behind the bombing. Those diplomatic discussions with the Emir are being handled through the Kunami Ambassador to the US, the discussions which seem to be stalled. Tricia Sims tells Mike that her brother is in the US Navy on SEAL Team 3. An unidentified soldier introduces himself to Hannah as Sgt. Royce Sims. The Navy does not have any ranks of sergeant. See more »

The US Navy SEAL Team has men on the team with incorrect ranks. The commanding officer of the team is identified as a Captain. A Navy Captain (O-6) is equal to a Colonel in the other branches and is way too senior of an officer to be used for this type of mission. The main SEAL that we follow in the episode introduces himself as a Sergeant. This rank does not exist in the US Navy. The show may have intended for this to be a US Army Special Forces team, but got confused. The ranks would have been appropriate for Special Forces (Green Berets). See more »

Doing what it does well
13 April 2018 | by See all my reviews

Ok so I'm finally just accepting this programme's bubblegum nature and hairbrained schemes and nonsense, and with that approach this episode was good fun. No more "why on earth would they do that?" or "wow that's a crazy hunch huh?" And just starting to go with it. It's not the West Wing, it's not 24, it's not Homeland, but it is an enjoyable mash up that is a pleasant escape for 44 mins. I've given up expecting too much and now just enjoying what it is at face value.
