    • Trivia
Naomi Kawase wrote the script in terms of Juliette Binoche's schedule, after meeting the actress at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival and instantly knowing she wanted to work with her. Binoche was available in September and November 2017, but not in October, thus the story was split in two halves.

    BORING
So boring.... it is a discredit to festivals like TIFF and Cannes that they keep including her. I have several of this director (Kawase) films and they are boring and bereft of interest. Female directors used to create interesting films (Decline Of Western Civilization, Fast Times At Ridgemont High, Clueless, etc.) but now it has become all about immaterial and psychotic silliness... To address any pretentious reviews: there is no meaning to any of this. Just a foreigner pretending to be on the verge of something profound, which does not transpire. To be clear, I am not saying every film needs an action car scene (I hate those stupid Fast And Furious films for example), a sexy woman or an explosion, not at all, but let something happen and that is relevant to something and is going somewhere. Is that too much to ask?
