The beginning is the strong suit of this movie. We establish so many things here. The main character, who he is, what he is about. And the lengths he will go - caught in a lie and all that. Having said that, the humor is in the eye of the beholder as always.

There is a lot of innuendo and a lot of jokes that may feel offensive ... or I guess not just feel offensive. On the other hand, there are sexual jokes that some may argue are being cut short. Like the one where two characters are tied together and their rubbing and otherwise movements suggest quite a lot. Funny and sexy or just silly and annoying? You will have to decide - you will have to step and be aware of that low level this reaches for ... it can be fun ... it is up to you.

A crazy night in the Eternal City

A fun romp full of hilarious characters and a sweet nature. Reminds one of the classic cinema comedies far removed from the cheap and sensationalist gags so common in film nowadays. Director Cosimo Messeri handles his cast masterfully (including his dad) as well as turning in a likable and credible performance in the lead role. I hope this gets a wide international release as it will lift the spirits of anyone who sees it and that is needed now!
