Trivia

Among the differences between film and book, the patient known as El Tuerto in real life didn't end up befriending Dr. Zaglul; on the contrary, he vowed to kill him, believing he was an accomplice of his mother's death. Also, the character Aurora and her subplot with El Tuerto, as well as the transvestite patient, are film-original. See more »
