Trivia | Director Ricky Borba was asked to direct and given the script in May of 2017. Two months later his own mother was diagnosed with Stage IV cancer and died seven weeks later. But during her treatment, Ricky Borba rewrote the character of Georgia Petros to reflect what his mother said and did during her battle with cancer. Almost all of Georgia's dialogue in the film ended up being what Ricky Borba's mother told him in real life. See more » |
