Storyline

Much to Meekie's disapproval the governor asks Fletch to become the minder for suicidal new inmate, rock star Rob Strange becoming his cell-mate, in exchange for the promise of giving him his own radio station. After Rob has confessed the reason for his depression Fletch gets his girlfriend Karen to trace his long-lost daughter, thus averting a nasty roof-top accident and giving Fletch what he wanted - again much to Meekie's disapproval. Well my son enjoyed this and he laughed several times. Of course Fletch being nervously on the prison roof to bring down a suicidal new inmate and nearly slipping was rather familiar to me from the original Porridge.

This episode sees Fletch doing a favour for the governor to look after new inmate, Rob Strange who is also a famous rock star, although the inmates and staff seem to have a thing for Take That.

Fletch agrees to be a minder on the condition that he gets his own prison radio station much to Meekie's concerns.

An amiable episode although unoriginal.
