The losing streak

I heard that comedian Spencer Jones is a bit of an acquired taste. I have only really come across him before in the Ben Elton comedy Upstart Crow where he parodies a Ricky Gervais type character.

In Mister Winner we really are faced with a problem of an obnoxious jester with little self awareness. The jokes is that he really is a loser and it is a miracle that he has a girlfriend.

Leslie Winner wants to propose to his girlfriend Jemma, not knowing she wants to dump him as she finds him immature. On a visit to her parents house he ends up electrocuting the valuable Koi Carp fish in the pond.

On a romantic trip to London with Jemma he rents an airB&B flat from a weirdo and causes havoc on a tour bus with an extra long selfie stick. His plans to propose to Jemma in an aquarium ends up in disaster.

Of course being a potential pilot it is bound to be a bit raw and incoherent but I just did not take to it. Although I can see Jones is bringing elements of Mr Bean.
