Tim Vine Travels in Time
17 September 2017 | by Prismark10See all my reviews

This will never be turned into a series. It is too daft but it allows punslinger Tim Vine to indulge in his own brand of humour.

It does feel a little Blackadder as well Maid Marian and her Merry Men.

Tim Vine runs an antique shop with a grandfather clock that acts as a time machine. He just needs to arrange the hands of the clock, going to 1066 is impossible but he can manage 1215.

Handily 1215 is the year he needs to go to when television presenter Ore Oduba wants Tim to mend his broken golden arrow. There he meets Robin Hood, Vague Marian, gets fancied by Maid Marian and pursued by the Sheriff of Nottingham. To fix things he needs Maid Marian to fall in love with Robin Hood which he does by way of an archery competition and fix the golden arrow.

I laughed several times, it is all very low budget and not the kind of show you would expect to see in the Comedy Playhouse strand. Gloriously bonkers.
