This is no criticism against other reviews on this episode but a rant against the bad climate in IMDB in general
30 June 2019 | by eyeMDbeeSee all my reviews

(This is unrelated to the episode, but I got it of my chest and moved the comment here, because here was only one review at the time of my posting.)

The longer I hang around I M D B, the more I am shaking my head about the impertinent audacity stupid reviewers display by merely vomiting out their mood of the second by not even having bothered to watch an entire episode, nor the entire series, but feel entitled to dish out their invalid opinion just to waste everyones time and water down the quality. And then they don't do it at the one episode they watched half, but feel the entitled to review the entire series, because their huge ego demands it.

I literally did not see even a single 1-4 star review, which was worth reflecting upon, one 5-star review was differentiated and only from 6 star reviews it starts to become informative or a sensible dispute people offer.

Having said that, I don't mind opinions which differ from mine, but want a good reason beyond the degrading slogans, such as "boring" or "pretentious".

This goes for nearly all series nowadays - especially the ones with a message - the mere ratings of a show usually indicated whether it did polarise simple minds into two extremes.

For example: hating on the show merely for displaying the historical correct strong anti-nuclear-power-movement of the 80s is in my opinion as stupid as if someone would criticise a movie in the 40s having shown Nazis. Those were simply parts of the history, just as the global peace-movement was part of the 70s.

Also, to use a nuclear power station as a catalyst for some unfathomable mystery is from a technological viewpoint a brilliant idea, because even nowadays nuclear power is a force with implications way beyond our comprehension: The nuclear waste for example will continue to be a sword of Damocles about 20.000 years into the future - a timeframe we can't even comprehend by our understanding for a mere 6.000 years of cultural history; so this kind of force is the ideal constant factor for a time travel story: Whether you love or hate nuclear power - even if it is switched of, it simply won't leave anytime soon anymore.
