Too long
31 July 2020 | by michaellisherSee all my reviews

(film watched in Spanish using subtitles) The first film, The Invisible Guardian, offered a great start towards a trilogy based on mystery and mythology. As a viewer, the mythological side kept my curiosity on edge on whether the film would take a slightly fantasy role later but nothing certain was revealed as to validate on a creature known as a Basajaun.

(film watched with English dubbing) The second film, Legacy of Bones, introduced another creature that was new to my knowledge named a Tarttalo, although these creatures began to bare very little importance to the construction of these films. The actors seemed different to me as I watched this second film but, with the dubbing, my first thoughts were that perhaps the voice actors might of ruined this film for me. What did become noticeable was the prolonged music throughout, which seemed to be heard all through the film, that was off putting and irritating on many scenes.

(watched film in Spanish using subtitles) Reverting back to continue watching the trilogy in original language, but using subtitles, quickly became apparent to me that the film was relying on music and actors to dragging this film out. This had all the ingredients to have been a wonderful mythological mystery, combining fiction with suspense and possibly horror with romance, yet failed greater and greater the longer the film went on. Perhaps Oriol Paulo might done a better job on this considering the books have high reviews.
