After twenty years, the annual class reunion hosted by the local cider makers couple is to be attended by business consultant Sandra Cale, to show off and present to her mother Mary her fiance and boss Peter, but they break up in both capacities over his 'delay' in telling his wife he needs a divorce. Returning to London is prevented by an ATM incident, in which she mistakenly pepper-sprays classmate Luke Sheringham, a successful photographer who enjoys a make-up drink and agrees to be staged as her partner at the reunion. The 'couple' stuns their fellow alumni, especially Sandra's class buddy Kate, who used to date Luke's oldest buddy Daniel, the host and now her unwed partner, as well as Luke behind his back. Someone blackmails Luke and Daniel who failed to share the class's lotto win twenty years ago, using it as start capital. Daniel's belated proposal to Kate is compromised by a health drama as well as the past.
