Trivia

Warner Brothers were initially hesitant in making this film as it was thought to be too dark and violent. They were concerned that it may tarnish Joker for kids who annually buy millions of toys and related merchandise. However, a year later and after some convincing from Todd Phillips, they finally agreed to go ahead with this project. A violent R-rated DC comic book film adaptation is nothing new to "Warner Brothers" who spent a considerable amount on V for Vendetta (2005) and Watchmen (2009) with the latter costing more than $130m, more than double that of the Joker. Goofs

When Joker awakens on the hood of the police car, he's clearly laying on a fake background, as the size, shape and dents are very different than the actual hood shown in the next wider shot. See more »

Only certain people can relate
7 October 2019 | by lesterarnoldpintoSee all my reviews

This is a movie that only those who have felt alone and isolated can truly relate to it. You understand the motive and you feel sorry for the character. A lot of people will see this movie and think that it encourages violence. But truly, this movie should encourage each and every one of us to become a better person, treat everyone with respect and make each other feel like they belong in this world, instead of making them feel isolated.
