In an interview of the magazine SEMANA, with the director, the magazine asked: Why the movie? Laura Mora Ortega
answered: "I used to write a lot, and people encouraged me to protest [with the writings] about my case, but since my father's death I felt that my only way of express myself [writing] was gone with him. I went to live to Australia, partly, because I couldn't live in Medellín anymore. Two years later, when I was working as a waitress to pay the university, in which I was doing Film studies, I had a dream. I was in a lookout looking at that fierce city of Medellín, and, suddenly, a guy, about my age, sat down next to me, we started talking and, all of a sudden, he says: "my name is Jesus, and I killed your father."
