Trivia

Abe Weissman (Tony Shalhoub) misidentifies Leni Riefenstahl's 1935 Triumph of the Will when referring to Miriam's old "ultra white" boyfriend Palmer Witherspoon looking like a "pole-vaulter from Triumph of the Will". Pole-vaulters were featured in Olympia Part One: Festival of the Nations (1938), Leni Riefenstahl's film about the 1936 Olympics. See more »

Quotes

Miriam 'Midge' Maisel: Why do we have to pretend to be stupid when we're not stupid? Why do we have to pretend to be helpless when we're not helpless? Why do we have to pretend to be sorry when we have nothing to be sorry about? Why do we have to pretend we're not hungry when we're hungry? Fuck you, Sophie! Put that on your plate!

preachy and sermonising -- litterally
21 May 2018 | by dnw-37See all my reviews

This episode is summed up by the last bit: 0% laughs,100% sermon. Disappointing change of tone after a strong season start that had fantastic balance between comedy and drama.
