Blake Lively stars as Stephanie Patrick, an ordinary woman on a path of self-destruction after her family is tragically killed in a plane crash. When Stephanie discovers that the crash was not an accident, she enters a dark, complex world to seek revenge on those responsible and find her own redemption. Based on the novel by Mark Burnell, from director Reed Morano ("The Handmaid's Tale") and the producers of the James Bond film series, The Rhythm Section also stars Jude Law and Sterling K. The Cinema Blend blurb used on the back of the DVD packaging boldly states that "BLAKE LIVELY is a COLD-BLOODED ASSASSIN." However, her character Stephanie struggles very much with the act of killing. Target 1 died from a lung condition while fighting Stephanie (who balked at an easy chance to shoot him). Target 2 was killed by Boyd when Stephanie chickened out. Target 3 was killed by his own bomb. Target 4 is the only one that Stephanie actually assassinates. Either the blurb was taken out of context or the reviewer only watched the end. See more »
If you want a good nap, go and see this movie. It was unbelievably boring. I can't believe I wasted my money seeing this movie. Not even Jude Law could save it. The plot was so choppy and the scenery was nothing to write home about. Don't waste your money on this one.
