When a "Dybbuk-possessed" reclining chair becomes enchanted by a girl and starts committing crimes of passion, a couple of detectives find themselves fighting their own demons while trying to solve this strange case with the help of a disgraced Jewish rabbi and an eccentric Voodoo sorceress. Written by Midnight Shepherd Productions
The premise of this movie, a possessed recliner, sounded so absurd I figured the people behind it had to be playing it just for laughs. The trailer makes it look outlandishly ridiculous, but sad to say it isn't all that funny. Had they played it as a farce, it might have worked. It is so stupid and off the wall at times that I did laugh, but in between those few laughs, this is just a terrible bore. The strangest part is, it seems that in some ways they were seriously going for something suspenseful and scary and it was never either of those things. I was nodding off. If you are going to watch this thinking it will be so bad it's funny, you are wasting your time.
