Sex & Nudity

Violence & Gore

  • Some frequent stylized robot violence including scuffles and explosions.
  • Some sequences of realistic bullying throughout.
  • Characters are also shot at with cartoony, fanatical guns.
  • A key character is vaporized suddenly, you see his body dissolve in an instant, with sparks falling to the ground

  • Both Mai's dog and her mother occasionally use "f**k" and "s**t" for comedic effect. (The words are fully obscured, but some may be distinguishable for older kids based on the context of the sentence. Others are nonsensical.) Other milder terms like, "idiot", "moron", "God", and "pervert" are used infrequently.
  • Some of the soundtrack has obscured profanity albeit strong.
  • One use of the word "Fudge".
  • The word "Pervert" is used by Mai

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Justin Pin's/Ares' evil eye is shown, could be disturbing for some viewers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Violence & Gore

  • We find out one of the human characters was actually killed and replaced with an evil robot. This evil human looking robot has its eye ripped out and we see a glowing red light where the eye was (similar to the famous Terminator image). The evil human looking robot becomes very damaged and moves in a frightening damaged robot way.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • A young girl is threatened by a robot at gunpoint; it is clear he has the intention to kill her, though this is resolved quickly.
  • Mild scary scenes such as Mai scaring and attempting to hit bullies with a bat. My B.B.F.C rating: PG: Mild Violence, Threat, Upsetting Scenes, Language. The film can be more serious than it says sometimes.
