Shortly after Sarah comes home from work, we discover she has a man bound and gagged in the back bedroom. The doorbell rings. What will she do now? Unfortunately for the captive, Ben, things don't work out well. The three alternate endings are sprinkled with a touch of surprise and a smidgen of humor, but come what may, Ben always winds up the definite loser. But what of Sarah? Victimless won a awards for Best Production and Best Ending and a prize for Most Creative in the Loose Ends Contest at Melbourne Independent Filmmakers Festival 2016, held in Melbourne, Florida. The contest required the producers create an ending for an unfinished script (also chosen through the competition). The completed film had to portray the opening scenes as written, the added ending AND credits in a run time of no more than 5 minutes.
Did You Know?
Brevard Film and Talent had three really interesting ending scripts and asked for permission to submit all three endings on one film. Permission was granted as long as each ending, with the beginning scenes and credits, ran no longer than 5 minutes if shown separately. With some extremely careful editing, the DP / Editor managed this amazing undertaking using simulated VCR rewinds between each alternate ending. See more
