Storyline

Gordon and Lilith, who bought Lacy's house, turn it into a murder-story bed and breakfast. Gordon, who has trouble forgiving Lilith over her affair, murders their first booking - who are cheating on their spouses. That same night, Molly's "connection" to Henry draws her to the woods, where she frees him from the locked chamber in Odin's camper, though neither of them see Odin's murdered corpse nearby. While The Kid tells Henry about Ruth killing Alan, and that he has waited for Henry for 27 years, Henry's son Wendell calls in the state police. The Kid runs off and is suspected in Alan's murder. Henry breaks into Lacy's (now Gordon's) house and finds Lacy's 27-years of drawings of an unchanging The Kid. Gordon and Lilith find him and try to kill him, fearful he'll reveal the murder of their lodgers. In the melee, Lilith accidentally stabs herself in the jugular, while Jackie Torrance arrives and saves Henry by burying an axe in Gordon's skull. The Kid visits Molly and finally starts ...

Trivia

The Kid, played by Bill Skarsgård, says "I waited for you. I waited for 27 years." to Henry Deaver. The actor says something similar ("For 27 years I've waited for you,") as Pennywise in It Chapter Two (2019), another Stephen King work. See more »

Goofs

The VW bus that Gordon and Lola are driving bears stickers in the front window indicating the owner was a Master Chief Petty Officer (E9) in the U.S.Navy, stationed at Naval Station Newport, R.I. It can be assumed that they purchased it from him or her. The Navy no longer uses these stickers. They should have been scraped off when the Master Chief sold the vehicle. See more »

Castle Rock and Zero Roll
2 September 2018 | by gregoryroman-88635See all my reviews

This series has quickly (make that slowly) turned into a chicken noodle hoagie. Not only does it move like molasses in January plot wise, the characters are like watching the walking dead stuck in the perpetual card game "Go Fish". Can anyone understand a thing Sissy Spacek has said??? She speaks like a ventriloquist with a mouth full of cotton. And Scott Glenn!!! All he did was walk around with a shovel or a gun dropping F-bombs for no apparent reason. I could go on and on with the rest of the moribund cast but I'll spare them the Rotten Tomatoes for now. This most recent episode (8 I think) was a total Shark Jumper...it was so bad I was waiting for Ted McGinley to make an appearance as the town constable or mayor or girls track coach or something. When Henry's kid got off a bus bound for Boston in Jerusalem's Lot ALONE AND AT NIGHT I nearly threw a brick at the TV!!! The makers of Castle Rock are free to do with this mess as they wish...but for the love of all things great about Stephen King DON'T SCREW WITH 'SALEM'S LOT!!!
