Episode 1.2
16 January 2018 | by Prismark10See all my reviews

The first episode might had been underwhelming as it tried to set up the various characters and relationships.

Mona and her family have to come to terms with the shock of her brother's death in Lahore where he has been killed by militant Islamists. Worse her nephew, Danish is under suspicion by the police and British security services to have been radicalised and have had some involvement in his father's slaying.

Mona has been told that the Pakistani authorities are refusing to release her brother's body to the British consulate. She flies to Pakistan to hurry things along only to be told that her brother's body was already released.

It looks like Mona and her husband Guy have been fed mis-information from the police. Mona has been put in danger by travelling to Pakistan where the aim is to smoke her nephew out.

The series should be applauded in trying something different but I am not sure it is clicking. The police just come across as two dimensional and it is left to Archie Punjabi to carry the show so far.
