Did You Know?

The poisoned perfume bottle as Villanelle's modus operandi turned out to be very prophetic of real-life events. Russian former spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter, Yulia, were poisoned with Novichok nerve agent in Salisbury in early March, just a few weeks before the air date. The delivery device was later determined to be a fake perfume bottle. See more »

The sweet smell of........death.
13 October 2018 | by Sleepin_DragonSee all my reviews

After such a huge opening episode, the fear was that the second part would fall flat, fortunately it didn't, it managed to build on the success of the first, and be bigger and bolder.

It's totally zany, totally over the top, but totally fabulous. We get to learn a little more about Villanelle, but only minute details, I'm sure we'll be made to wait to learn what makes her tick, and how she ended up in the position she's in.

There was a great moment where Villanelle and Ev each had a realisation that they had seen each other, it was superbly done. Comer was incredible once again, how easy it would have been for her to overplay her part, especially when she was flouncing around in that pink dress, but she was sincere, menacing and totally convincing. Can anyone really be that cold?

Excellent from start to finish, I particularly enjoyed the way the perfume scene was done. Great viewing, 9/10
