Storyline

MI5 Agent Eve Polastri is assigned to a special task force to protect the only witness of an unknown assassin, presumed by Eve to be the one killing people all over the world. Obsessed with female assassins, Eve has formed an investigative dossier on her own and has connected all to one unknown female assassin. Unbeknownst to Eve, she actually meets her antagonist while on guard duty for the only witness. Failure to save the witness results in Eve being fired by MI5, only to have another opportunity knock on her door for her personal obsession to become a reality. Meanwhile, Villanelle (the assassin) learns of Eve and her new task force. Though warned off by her handler not to touch either, she has the impetus to ignore these orders, as she is quite a psychotic yet brilliant assassin. Written by sscialli

Goofs

At or about 0:33 Villanelle and Cesare Greco are standing face-to-face. Villanelle reaches up with her right hand, thumb down, to the bun on the back of her head. Cut away to Villanelle removing the hair pin from her hair with her right hand, thumb down, nearer the point of the hair pin and little finger nearer the plunger end of the hair pin. Cut away to Villanelle plunging the hair pin point into the left eye of Cesare Greco with her right hand and pressing the plunger with her right thumb. There was no opportunity to rotate the hair pin to accomplish this change in grip. See more »

Unexpected "Slam Dunk"
12 April 2018 | by opinionated-alchemistSee all my reviews

I haven't heard about Killing Eve before - and I just found it under many other shows - and gave it a try.

And man, oh man - was I surprised. The show is corky, funny and humorous, sexy, intelligent - I could really not find a fault.

I was even surprised how much they jam-packed into the pilot episode, without being shallow.

Especially I have been impressed by the protagonist and antagonist - both female- very well portrait by the actors.also.. but also well written. While most films of this genre uses machismo to hook the audience up, Killing Eve does it easily with smartness and corkiness.

I think only, the TV14 rating holds it slightly back - having seen so many great TV shows with R ratings in these days - it just seems that Killing Eve is "cut" and unnecessarily self-restricted.

At the end, it is an interesting, very captivating show with very few faults and I am looking very much forward for the next episodes.
