Storyline

Toys can be more than simply children's playthings, the biggest ones can say so much about popular culture and the generations raised in it. This series covers the history of the major toylines of the post-World War II generations, the media franchises they represented, and how they reflected their times and how they changed with them. A Much Needed Childhood Follow-Up
6 January 2018 | by herriman-59245See all my reviews

Thoroughly entertaining. This series expands on what I consider to be the most unique and influential toy era in history. In-depth look at the creative process, business decisions, culture, and child perspectives. Most importantly, another look at the TOYS that played such a fleeting (but impactful) role in our lives. It's not just a stroll down memory lane for the kids who played with these toys and the people who still collect them - it's a fine series that documentary fans won't want to miss. Looking forward to additional installments... I can only imagine that Transformers and Care Bears may be on the brink.
