Goofs
No public fire department would allow a parent to be the superior of their own child. They would especially not allow that parent to promote the child (with no oversight).
Moreover, in most Fire and police agencies promotion requires passing an exam to be eligible for promotion, and a significant period of time to pass before eligibility for another promotion.

I found it appalling how police officers were portrayed in this episode. I have watched this series from the beginning. This episode was a disgrace to those out there working and putting their lives on the line to protect us. I can't believe that anyone could believe that an officer would think or act the way these actors did...disgusting!! Any human being would have been relieved the girls were saved. Not sure I will be able to watch in the future.
