A bittersweet comedy about one man's pursuit of a dream no more ridiculous than the times we live in, "Denmark" sees a down-on-his-luck Welshman without a job or access to hot water, who makes a decision to change his life for the better. With nothing to lose, and everything to gain, he travels across Europe with one crazy goal: to get himself arrested and sent to a Danish prison where the beds are warm and the water is hot. This is not the sort of movie you will watch over and over again, it's one of those movies where you will watch, perhaps enjoy, but won't think about watching it again thereafter. First of all, the profanity was a bit extreme, and the language was coarse.
It was a dark comedy, and the plot was original. However the ending was a bit of a disappointment as it hung and never came to a conclusion.
The story was good and the characters were believable. Nice original movie, but it did lack a decent ending.
