Storyline

Ignoring the admonitions of locals, journalist John Miller heads out alone to explore the remnants of Buffalo City, once the busiest town in the area but now merely a pile of dilapidated ruins amidst the encroaching swampland. Are the tales of strange apparitions and deadly encounters merely musings from tale-telling old timers, or will Miller uncover something darker, something that may cost him his life? Short Low Budget Haunted Forest Horror
8 September 2020 | by nashw82See all my reviews

This sounded interesting and when I saw it had zero reviews I decided to check it out. The premise of a reporter exploring a swampy ghost town was intriguing enough and while it is short and simple it doesn't managed to build some tension. Making a forest creepy at night is easy, but making a forest creepy in the day takes some skill. As someone who has been lost in the forest once or twice I know the heart sinking feeling when everything looks the same and nothing is familiar, and this film uses that well. Low budget, and far from perfect, but it's only 30 minutes long and it's a fun watch.
