Clever writing!
4 April 2019 | by cbjcornishSee all my reviews

Horror isn't usually my thing but after discovering this gem, found it to be much more: a satirical comedy, thriller, and character-driven piece. The performances, visuals, and directing choices were fun but what stood out for me was the clever writing. The dialogue felt grounded and real but also stylized at the appropriate moments, the plot was well-structured and clever, and I liked the little SNL-like commercial parodies interspersed throughout the main narrative. I'm usually one of those people that already has the ending figured out early on (and has to bite his tongue not to spoil it for fellow viewers), but this one was completely unpredictable. Check it out!
