    • Trivia
This season is based on a mixture of the first (Stormbreaker) and second (Point Blanc) Alex Rider novels by Anthony Horowitz. In this episode, during the bike chase scene where Alex chases Crawley's car from the scene of his uncle's murder, there are a few Easter eggs to the books (it is unclear if these are intentional or not). At the start of the Stormbreaker book, during the original bike chase scene, Alex is chasing a removals van, this is also the case in the Stormbreaker (2006) movie. At 34:44 there is a large white removals van driving behind Alex as he is tracking Crawley's car. Additionally, at the start of Point Blanc, Alex gets up to mischief by tracking a drug dealer to a canal boat and then uses a crane to pick up said boat. At 34:54, during the chase, Alex rides alongside the canal and multiple canal boats. A crane can also be seen in the background at 35.00.
    • Goofs
Alex refers to dinner as 'take out'. This is an American phrase. In Britain, such food is called 'take away'. He could, however, use this phrase as Jack Starbright is American and therefore will likely refer to it as take out.
    • Quotes

Ian Rider: Well, you know Alex, he's, he's, he's bright and he's determined and he questions everything but he can be impulsive and he can be irresponsible and I need you to help set him clear boundaries

Jack Starbright: He's not a kid anymore. He doesn't need me to tie his shoelaces and pack his lunch and run his life. He can do that all himself.

Ian Rider: You hold this place together Jack, remember that.
