Totality explores why a total solar eclipse has such a profound influence on those who witness it and how the upcoming American eclipse is impacting towns across the U.S. as they prepare for their populations to quadruple overnight. It's not just about the rare occurrence of the sun, the moon and the earth being in perfect alignment; it's about coming to terms with this mesmerizing phenomena.

Building the Excitement for the 2017 Total Solar Eclipse
This documentary does a good job of explaining why you should travel into the path of totality to see the eclipse. It was nice to see St. Joseph, where I am traveling for the eclipse. Shows downtown Kansas City and the line where totality begins, but never really specifies where it is. Just shows a building and doesn't give the location or the name of the building. The experiences of several eclipse chasers are highlighted as well as the preparation of a select few cities along the path of totality. The price gouging for lodging is pointed out ( just insane!) along with the possibility of cell service interruption. A good documentary for building the excitement for the eclipse.
