Principal photography began in June 2017 in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan.

In the opening scene, right after the credits, when the camera opens with a wide shot of some buildings, then pans down to under a bridge, it becomes obvious that the background seen from under the bridge does not match the one seen from above it.

After the end credits, there's a 10 second animated "vanity card" in 90's style 3D computer animation. It features the "drones" from the movie zooming through skyscrapers, and ends with "An American Tradition - OVERWATCH - For Your Protection - Call Now" and a back-lit figure walking towards the viewer. It seems clearly intended to be tongue-in-cheek.
