Hunting Season is different than many others out there. It twisted that preconceived notion I had on what they were after and it left my eyes wide by the end of it. For what is supposed to be a short film it's such a big tease considering how the story is well underway once it starts playing- established and set in motion just like the characters are. There's minimal backstory & us as viewers were unable to see the events that led up to it and how Callie was before. Her personal life. We're just walking right in the middle of it all with no clue what to expect.
That's what makes it fun. It was such a thrill watching and letting my mind wander after it was done. Our main character Callie who was played by the wonderful Hannah Levien did such a great job at conveying the fear we face at the unknown.
If I could I'd watch Hunting Season 10 times over again. And I hope one day this story is expanded on. It deserves more than an hour.
