Milder terms used include "ass", "arsehole", "son of a bitch", and "shit". One use of b***ard. The slang and derogatory term "Japs" was used eighteen times.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • During a practice session on a aircraft carrier, a pilot has a difficult time taking off with sufficient speed and almost crashes into the water. He tries warning the ship that the conditions are not acceptable for takeoffs, but an inexperienced pilot does his takeoff before the ship can abort it. The plane falls into the water and the moving carrier cannot steer clear of it in time, sinking it.

  • There's a scene after the attack on Pearl Harbor where an officer comes looking for a friend of his to see if he's alive. This scene takes place in an area where dead bodies are being gathered from the attack. You see burned charred dead bodies and eventually you see the charred dead body of the officer's friend who he was hoping survived the attack. May be disturbing for some viewers.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Events of this film contain multiple warships being bombed by attacking aircraft. Some aircraft are shot down during the attacks.
