While not one of the best episodes, this was still great. I guess it's because the premise is just funny with Gumball doing wild things for Ocho because he claims that Mario is his uncle. Yeah, he claims that it's "that" Mario. I admit it does kind of seem like an attempt to seem relevant, but this show is known for pop culture references. I don't know why, but looking back, I thought it was Clayton that was featured in this episode. Now that I think about it, I don't think Ocho has been featured in an entire episode. Well, he is based on a video game character, so of course he'd claim to be related to Mario!
The best part of the whole episode is probably when Ocho is first explaining to Gumball about Mario. Gumball yells, "Marry me!" and Terri and Carrie (hey, they rhyme!) walk by with Terri saying, "Called it!". She previously acknowledged the fact that Gumball had a lot of gay subtext in a previous episode. You really see that on a kid's show. It's also fun just for that part where Gumball turns into Mario. I just love that kid so much I want him to turn into everybody. ***1/2
