Trivia

After her father wins a boardwalk game, Adelaide selects a "Michael Jackson's Thriller" T-shirt as her prize. As a child, Corey Feldman was once a member of Jackson's close friendship circle, and was also one of the stars of both "The Lost Boys" (1986) and "The Goonies" (1985). Both films are referenced in "Us" See more »

Goofs

When Gabe and his doppelganger, Abraham, (Duke Winston) fall overboard in the motorboat, the boat did not go into the "circle of death." When people fall overboard in small motorboats and the motor is still in operation, the propellers and steering force to continually veer left, making it circle the people in the water, often closing in on them. This is referred to as "The Circle of Death." Many people have been injured and even killed by boat propellers in these situations. See more »

Great artistry, but standard overall...
24 March 2019 | by sirwillisivSee all my reviews

I really wanted to love Us, but I could only bring myself to simply like it. It's certainly creepy and thought-provoking, but also quite predictable. I didn't think the twists were that intriguing (or really added up overall). Even though the writing didn't do it for me, I do appreciate the artistry. It's only Jordan Peele's second film, but his craft is spellbinding. He knows how to captivate the audience. The acting, the shots, the editing, the pacing are all top-notch and kept me chilled and engaged throughout. If the third act wasn't so underwhelming (especially after so much lengthy tension-building), I would consider it a masterpiece of horror like the rest of the world.
