Joelle Elizabeth Jacoby,
Demons invade humanity after being frozen in ice for millions of years. Akira, a timid boy, is tasked by his friend Ryo to merge with one of these demons in order to be able to fight back against them for the sake of humanity.
I watched this with an English dub on Netflix, the interesting animation style where you largely see just silohouettes of characters means there's nothing off in the application of the dub as you sometimes get.
5 episodes isn't nearly enough and they're all just 7 - 10 minutes long, but my do the individual episodes and the whole series leave an impression. Clearly written by those well versed in horror, the focus is primarily on creating an atmosphere of unease and uncertainty. There's certainly a strong Lovecraftian vibe and this is realised more explicitly in a couple of the eps than others.
Don't really want to say anything else for fear of spoiling a single detail. I eagerly await more and would urge anyone to watch.
