Goofs

During the opening narration of the D Day assault, while the camera pans over the battleship Texas executing a shore bombardment fire mission, you can see to radar antennae spinning in the masts. Radar was in its infancy at this time, and while Texas had received one of the first radars in the US Navy in 1939, emitters of the era looked like satellite dishes, not the spinning rectangle we are familiar with today. Boots on the ground with a modern touch
11 November 2017 | by thatonenerd-88686See all my reviews

Call of Duty is a franchise that has lost its identity ever since modern warfare was released. It both revolutionized not only the call of duty franchise, but it also revolutionized gaming in general. Every single game franchise then had the idea that if we were like call of duty, we could make some money. Some succeeded, while plenty others failed. Meanwhile, call of duty itself was slowly losing it's identity by repeating itself over and over again ever since that game came out. It became much more repetitive with its over-the-top campaign's with the same plot, character type's, and story structure. The multiplayer never changed, as well as the zombies. All has been the same, and no signs of change have been shown, and this game is just another example of this. If you love the call of duty franchise, you'll love this one. If your sick of it, you won't be missing much here. While the graphics, voice acting, and gameplay are still presented well, the rest is extremely familiar to other games in the franchise. While the plot of the single player doesn't rely on you going on a trip to kill the terrorist, it's story doesn't offer much new to the war or call of duty genre. The story is is so scripted and linear it becomes a chore to go through. The AI is brain dead and easy to kill. You often have to rely on cover to live, and the characters are so generic it becomes so boring, it's hard to care about what's happening. The online multiplayer is decent. You have your standard modes, the server's suck, and you've got more 5 year old's camping with a sniper rifle and shotgun. The new mode called War is just ripped off of battlefield, but it's still a fun mode none of the less. Nazi zombies is zombies mode, but gets old because you get only one map. Overall, nothing new is here to be shown. It's just your average call of duty game. If you like COD, you'll like this, if you don't, then don't spend the money.
