Director M. Night Shyamalan talked about the importance of colors in this movie, saying, "I chose green for David Dunn because psychologically, it is associated with life giving properties. David is the protector of life. I chose ochre or mustard for The Beast because this color is associated with religious ceremonies, Hindu and Buddhist. A monk's robe. I see The Beast as an evangelist, a preacher who wants to help save 'The Broken.' Finally, I chose purple for Mr. Glass because this color has been associated with royalty, majestic qualities. Joseph mentions the "mutilations at the zoo," that is, the events seen in Split, as taking place "three weeks ago." Also, several times it is mentioned that the crash of Eastrail 177 was 19 years ago. But at the end of Split a diner patron mentions Mr. Glass having been put away FIFTEEN years before (which was closer to accurate at the time of release). Since the train wreck and Elijah's capture were only a few days apart, both time frames cannot be true. See more »

Forget The Negative reviews
Forget the bad reviews....this was a riot of eye candy to watch at the beginning....I watched it and they had four flaunting super slim cheerleaders... from then on you can watch or shut it off. My recommendation: rewind and watch again.
