Mim accidentally lets slip that she does not have cancer but only wanted to spend time getting to know Fran again. Fran, however, is angry and returns to teaching and romantic headmaster Mr Merdon, ignoring her mother's phone calls. A desperate Mim arrives at the school and promptly collapses. Rushed to hospital she is revealed to have genuine illnesses, leading to a reconciliation, a confession from Mim and the resumption of the bucket list trip, with a new item added.
