A slow, intense burn with an accent.

Isolani is a powerful and well-acted drama from Scotland that keeps you guessing all the way to the end. The film is about a murder witness who is abused and threatened by powerful people until she fights back. I hate films that give the story away too quickly but this was well thought out and intense! . We saw this at the Orlando Film Festival and loved the Scottish accents. The acting was strong and the lead actress was very good. It's violent at times but mostly it's about tension and drama instead of action. Reminded me a lot of older films. Music and cinematography were really good and suited the dialogue and direction and you have to pay attention with lots of layers happening at once but it's well paced and I definitely want to see it again.
