Trivia

Story is based on real events. In 2007, Krystian Bala was sentenced to jail for 25 years for planning and committing the murder of Dariusz Janiszewski, who's body was discovered floating in a lake in Wroclaw in 2000. Clues to the killing were found in Bala's first novel Amok, published three years after Janiszewski's death. See more »

Quotes

Commendant: You can't charge a man with murder for selling a phone. That's not a motive. The judge won't allow it. They need a motive.
Jacek Sokolski: You read the book! He doesn't need a motive.
Commendant: Relax, for fuck's sake. The book? I don't give a shit about the book.
Jacek Sokolski: It's bad. I know.
Commendant: No. It's useless! It's a false lead.
